Our History
Founded in 1947 in Turin, Roberto Sport holds a distinguished place in the history of foosball as one of the very first manufacturers of the game — and, more importantly, for its lasting contribution to the sport's development, both technologically and commercially.
Today, the foosball table stands as a genuine "Made in Italy" classic that has long outgrown its home country, becoming one of the most popular games across Europe, North America, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Over the years, to keep pace with a demanding and competitive market, Roberto Sport expanded its production. Today the company manufactures not only coin-operated and non-coin foosball tables, but also carrom, table tennis, and hockey tables.
Production
All tables are manufactured almost entirely at our own factory in Lessolo, Italy, using carefully selected and quality-controlled materials — guaranteeing 100% authentic Italian craftsmanship at every stage.
Production begins with raw timber, which is first laminated, then processed using modern CNC pantograph machines that perform all the drilling and shaping needed for table assembly.
Hardened, chrome-plated steel rods are machined and shaped in-house. Two injection molding presses allow us to manufacture most plastic components internally — bushings, handles, doors, legs, seals, and more.
Finished figure rods are assembled together with the remaining components — bushings, handles, internal mechanisms — to form a complete, functional rod. A dedicated metalworking shop handles all iron and sheet-metal parts.
The final stage is assembly: first, the outer cabinet is hand-assembled from plywood components; then the remaining parts are mounted inside the cabinet to produce a fully finished, ready-to-ship product.
Every Roberto Sport table isn't just game furniture — it's a piece of engineering, hand-assembled and quality-checked at every stage of production.
